For several months books with the word ‘nothingness’ in the title were purchased on-line. The variety of genres was fascinating, existentialism to be sure, but also fly fishing, bebop, video art, fiction, and others. Flyleaves are the first page in a book, and are often blank, which became criteria for this collection. They were stacked according to size, and framed. A list of the books arranged according to the order of the stack is mounted behind Plexiglas on the back, with the word ‘nothingness’ aligned.
